CITY COUNCIL VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
- The City of Backus is accepting applications from individuals interested in being appointed to fill a temporary position on the Backus City Council.
- To be eligible, a person must be a United States citizen, a resident of the City for at least 30 days and at least 21 years old.
- The individual appointed will serve until the Special Election which is November of 2026.
- The Council is not obligated to appoint any candidate previously defeated in an election for the office. (MN Const. Article VII subd 6.)
