Notice 07-17-2026 : Reminder to be aware of wasps this time of year as they get very aggressive. There have been reports of them at the boat landing, public works is doing what they can but there is no nest, it seems they are gathering to make their nests. Please be cautious.

🎨💧 Help Design the New Water Tower! 💧🎨

The City of Backus is inviting community members to share their creativity and ideas for the design of the new Bakus Water Tower! Help us create something amazing!! 

Do you have a vision for the new Backus Water Tower Painting? We want to see it!
Submit your design ideas to the City Clerk at [email protected]. No matter if you are an artist who can sketch your idea, handy with technology to bring it to life in an image or just want to send in a generic email of what you'd like to see, we want your input!! 

Submission Deadline: Monday, April 27th by midnight.
Council will Review all ideas submitted & Vote: on Monday, May 11th, 2026  
Time: 6:30 PM at the Backus City Hall - this will take place during our May Council Meeting

This is your chance to leave a lasting mark on our community—whether it’s something bold, classic, or uniquely “Backus.”

📌 Ideas can include colors, themes, logos, or anything that represents our city's identity.
