NOTICE OF REGULAR MEETINGS

Notice is hereby given that the Backus City Council shall hold its Regular Monthly Meetings on the first Monday of each month, commencing at 6:30 p.m., at the Backus City Hall. If the meeting date falls on a holiday, the Regular Monthly Meeting will be held the following Monday at 6:30 p.m.

The Backus City Council has approved the use of remote meetings on an as-needed basis, as permitted under Minn. Stat. § 13D.021. When meetings are held using interactive technology, the meeting time and location remain the same; however, some Council Members may participate remotely.

In the event a meeting is conducted using interactive technology, at least one Council Member will be physically present at City Hall, and the public will be able to monitor the meeting electronically by hearing all discussion, testimony, and votes.

A meeting link will be posted on the Event Calendar of the City of Backus website prior to the meeting for those wishing to monitor the meeting remotely. All remote meetings will be conducted in compliance with Minn. Stat. § 13D.021.

Public participation and comment will not be permitted through interactive technology, as it is not required under the Minnesota Open Meeting Law.

When feasible, agenda packets provided to Council Members will also be made available to the public attending remotely.

City Hall will remain open and accessible to the public for regular meetings unless otherwise permitted by Minnesota law.
